My Favourite Female Artist of 2011
I am so proud of UK Singer/songwriter Adele's accomplishments.
Adele's "21" album sold over 4.8 million copies in 2011 and she topped the Billboard, iTunes and Rolling Stone's charts for the best selling female artist of 2011.

My Favourite Male Artist of 2011
Bruno Mars has been one of the most consistent male artists of the year.
Bruno Mars' single "Just the way you are" sold over 4.5 million copies and his second single "Grenade" sold 4.4 million copies in the US alone.
Bruno Mars play instruments, sings beautifully and writes hit records that have so much meaning.

Rising Star- Misha B
Misha B appeared on UK's talent show The X Factor and although she did not make the final, I believe that she is exceptionally talented and could possibly be the next 'Jennifer Hudson.'
Her vocals are mature for her age and she has her own style and vision. I just hope that whatever record label has/in the process of signing her do not present her with weak songs or try to change her image. Misha B has enough talent to make it to the top and I wish her well for the future.

Katy Perry & Russel Brand heading for divorce
I was disappointed to learn that Katy Perry and UK Comedian/Presenter Russel Brand have split and heading for divorce, citing "Irreconcilable differences."
Rumours circulated the net around the Christmas period after it was reported that Katy and Russel were spending their holidays apart.
Russel Brand released a statement further to confirmed reports that the couple have ended their marriage "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
Country Music Awards
Congratulations to Taylor Swift for winning the award for Entertainer of the Year at this year's Country Music Awards that took place last month.
I was not really familiar with Taylor Swift's work until that fiasco that took place with her and Kanye West at the VMA's 2009, I think he made her more relevant to be honest..lol... nothing wrong with free publicity! All jokes aside, she is clearly talented and a good role model for young girls.
Congratulations to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen
I was pleased to learn that John Legend proposed to his long time girlfriend!
I met the pair in New York several years ago at a party I attended. They seemed very much in love then and I am happy to see that their love has grown to new heights.
Heavy D Autopsy Report revealed
It has been confirmed that Heavy D died of blood clot in his lung according to the Coroners report.
The rapper also suffered from deep leg vein thrombosis and heart disease, reports the L.A.Times.
It is another sad loss to the music industry! RIP Heavy D!
