I was saddened to hear that soul singer Etta James passed away on Friday 20th February 2012 in Riverside, California.
The "At Last" singer died after suffering from a variety of illnesses over the years which included kidney failure, dementia and leukemia.
This iconic soul singer has been an inspiration to me and I am sure to many people around the world.

Jay Z's newly renovated New York Club 40/40 shut down by the health department
Jay Z had a star studded affair recently for the re-opening of his nightclub 40/40 of which he had spent $10 million on the renovation costs.
The club was given 69 violation points. Only 28 violations points are needed for a restaurant to be given the worst possible "C" grade. Restaurants with a "C" grade are forced to post a "C" in their storefront windows which is horrible for business.
My question is how did Jay Z's people not double check that everything was in order before relaunching 40/40? Money isn't an issue for Jay Z but apparently communication within his camp is!! Jay Z if I were your PA, I would have made sure all was in order!!! Hire me!!! LOL

It has been reported this week that model Heidi Klum will be filing for divorce from her singer/songwriter husband Seal. The couple have been married for almost 7 years and have children together. I loved this couple and think it is sad that they have decided to go their seperate ways.
Seal is currently in London promoting his album "Soul 2."
Chris Brown's new album "Fortune."
Chris Brown is working on his new album which is slated for release March 2012.
Chris has enlisted a number of artists to feature on his album such as Nas, Whiz Khalifa, Will I Am, David Guetta, Asher Roth and Kids Sister.
In other related news, the internet has been buzzing with rumours that Chris Brown ad Rihanna are secretly dating. However Chris has denied these rumours and is still very much in love and dating his girlfriend Karrueche Tran (above).
I do not think it would be a good idea for the two to date again because of their history and some things are just best left in the past!
Amy Winehouse's tribute concert
Amy Winehouse's father Mitch is said to be organizing a benefit concert for his late daughter.
Mitch told the Press "we will be talking to a variety of people in the coming months and will announce those performing as soon as we can." I think this will be a great concert and I will do everything I can to attend.
Estelle's new video "Thank you."

I think it is a nice song and I love the fact that she is using a different tone of voice in her verses. I do not feel however it is her strongest song but I am sure the album will be good.
I really would like to see Estelle grow as a solo artist because I personally feel that at present she is a good featuring artist.
